Hello. I am Mrs. Susan Hartman and I am the ESL teacher for students in grades 10 and 12 at Parkland High School. This is my 15th year teaching in the Parkland School District. I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. I continued my education at DeSales University where I earned a Master’s Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I am also certified to teach secondary English.
My husband, Thom, and I have lived in the Allentown area for most of our lives and we have 4 children. I enjoy working at PHS and love meeting new students and learning about them and their cultures. Each year brings new students, new experiences, and more opportunities to learn from my students. My expectations are high and I strive to maintain the integrity of the quality education offered from the faculty at PHS. I look forward to September as I meet new students and welcome returning students to begin the new year.
